Forgotten your password, or want to change it? You can reset it yourself from the sign-in screen — no need to contact your administrator.
Reset it from the sign-in screen
- On the Tera sign-in screen, choose your region (India or US) if you haven't already.
- Select Forgot password? below the password box.
- Enter the email address you use for Tera and submit.
- Check your inbox for a message from Tera and open the reset link it contains.
- Enter your new password twice, then save.
- Sign in with your new password.
Tip: The email can take a minute or two to arrive. Check your spam or junk folder before requesting another link.
Password requirements
When you reset your password, it must have:
- At least 8 characters
- At least one number
- At least one uppercase letter
The reset screen shows each requirement and ticks it off as you type, so you can see exactly what's still missing.
Note: When you set a password for the very first time — after accepting an invitation to join Tera — the requirements are a little stricter. In addition to the above, you'll also need a lowercase letter and a special character (for example
!,?or#).
"This reset link is invalid or has expired"
Reset links are single-use and time-limited. If you see this message, the link has already been used or has aged out.
Select Request New Link on that screen (or start again from Forgot password?) and use the newest email you receive. If you requested several links, only the most recent one works.
Still can't get in?
- Make sure you're signing in to the correct region. An account created in India won't sign in under US, and vice versa.
- If you normally use Sign in with Google, you may not have a Tera password at all — use the Google button instead.
- For anything else, see I can't log in or How do I contact support?
