Tera protects your account and data with several safeguards.
Sign-in and sessions
- Encrypted sign-in — your password is encrypted on your device before it's sent.
- Session expiry — for security, you're signed out after a period of inactivity and asked to sign in again.
Extra layers
- Extra sign-in verification — if your company switches it on, you'll be asked for a 6-digit code emailed to you after entering your password. This is enabled for your company by an administrator; it isn't something you turn on yourself, and there's no authenticator app to set up.
- Strong passwords — passwords must be at least 8 characters and include a number and an uppercase letter. See Reset your password.
- Role-based access — you only see the data and actions your role allows.
- Regional separation — your data lives in the region your account belongs to (India or US), and you sign in to that region specifically.
- Biometric unlock (mobile) — optionally lock the app behind your fingerprint or face.
Your controls
Under Settings, you can manage your password, notification preferences, and your AI (FinPilot) consent.
