Record how a budget should behave as it fills up, and get a visible warning when it crosses a level you care about.
Where to set them
When you create or edit a budget, open the Overspend Controls section.
Overspend Policy — choose Block, Warn, Require Approval, or Allow.
Thresholds — add one or more utilization levels. Each has a % Threshold and an Action (Notify, Warn, or Block). Click Add Threshold to add another; a new one starts at 75% / Notify, and you can change both. Many teams add three: 75%, 90%, and 100%.
Where you see them
On the budget's Overview tab, the Threshold Alerts card lists each threshold with its action, the text "At {n}% utilization", and how many recipients it has. Once utilization passes a threshold, it's marked Triggered.
Important: Today these settings are recorded and displayed — Tera marks a threshold as Triggered when utilization passes it, and you'll see that on the budget. Automatic notifications and hard blocking at the moment of spend aren't active yet, so review your budgets regularly rather than relying on being alerted.
