Find, review, and maintain your budgets over their lifetime.
Find a budget
Go to Budgets → Budgets. Filter with the status tabs — All, Active, Draft, Frozen, Closed (each shows a count) — search by name, and switch between table and card views.
The table shows Budget Name, Scope, Owner, Period, Amount, Spent, Utilization, and a Health badge. The ⋮ menu offers View Details, Edit, and Delete.
Inside a budget
Open a budget to see its tabs:
- Overview — the scope it applies to; Total Budget, Spent, Committed, and Available; a utilization bar split into Actual / Committed / Remaining; a period-by-period breakdown; category and vendor allocation; and threshold alerts.
- WBS — for project-scoped budgets, the work breakdown with planned and allocated amounts.
- Details — all the settings, including the overspend policy and GL account.
- Transactions — every movement against the budget. See Understanding committed vs actual spend.
- Snapshots — point-in-time records of the budget's position.
Freeze, close, or snapshot
Use Edit to change a budget, or the ⋮ menu for:
- Freeze Budget — pause it without closing it.
- Close Budget — end it when the period or project is finished.
- Take Snapshot — record the current position for later comparison, visible on the Snapshots tab.
