When you add remarks to a wallet payment (such as a UPI payment), the bank only accepts certain characters.
🇮🇳 India only — this section applies to India (IN) accounts.
The rule
Remarks can contain letters, numbers, and spaces only. Emoji, punctuation, and other symbols aren't allowed.
What happens as you type
Tera automatically removes any characters that aren't allowed, so your remark always stays valid. For UPI payments, remarks are required.
If a payment is rejected for invalid remarks
Edit the remark so it uses only letters, numbers, and spaces, then try the payment again. See also Common error messages explained.
