Make a UPI payment

Pay anyone with a UPI ID or mobile number, straight from your Tera wallet, using the mobile app.

🇮🇳 India only — this section applies to India (IN) accounts.

Steps

1. From Home, tap the UPI quick action (or open your wallet and choose UPI).
2. Enter the amount (up to ₹1,00,000).
3. Enter the payee's UPI ID or 10-digit mobile number. Tera verifies it and shows the payee's name so you can check it's right.
4. Add Remarks (required) and any other requested details, such as a reference or category.
5. Review the payment, then tap Pay ₹[amount] to authorize it from your wallet.
6. You'll see the result — Successful, Pending, or Failed — along with a transaction ID.

Pay by scanning a QR code

You can also scan a UPI QR code to fill in the payee's UPI ID and the amount automatically, then review and pay.

Note: Remarks must use letters, numbers, and spaces only — see Payment remarks rules. A Pending result usually settles within a short time; check the transaction status in your wallet.
