Reference data (master data) is the set of lookup values Tera uses across the app — like GL accounts, departments, and categories. Keeping it accurate keeps everyone's coding clean.
Where to go
Admin → Reference Data, then pick a type. Types include:
- GL Accounts, Entities, Locations, Departments, Cost Centers
- Payment Terms, Tax Codes, Categories
- Items (India), Price Lists
Manage a type
- Open Admin → Reference Data → [type].
- Click New [type] to add one; fill in the form (code, name, and any type-specific fields) and Save.
- Edit or Delete existing entries, or open one to view its details.
- Use Import to bulk-add from a spreadsheet — see Bulk-import users, GL accounts, or vendors.
Note: These values feed the dropdowns your team sees when coding expenses, bills, and payments — so accurate reference data means cleaner books.
